Perpetual’s head of multi-manager funds, Damien Webb, will leave the listed funds manager and reunite with former colleague Richard Brandweiner at First State Super in the New Year.

Webb’s resignation follows a string of recent departures at Perpetual as it restructures its internal product and research teams.

In September, Nigel Douglas, formerly Perpetual’s head of private wealth investment research, joined ANZ as senior manager, mandate research within the bank’s Office of the Chief Investment Office.

Brandweiner, formerly group executive of income and multi-sector products at Perpetual, joined First State Super as director of investment services in May.

Perpetual has undergone major changes as part of its Transformation 2015 program, which has been spearheaded by chief executive Geoff Lloyd.

Under the program Perpetual has been significantly simplifying its corporate structure and refocusing its operational activities, while seeking to capture new growth opportunities.

It is understood Kylie Smith, Westpac Group head of internal communications will join Perpetual in a similar role on December 16. Smith and Lloyd worked together at Westpac and BT Financial Group.
