The Professional Planner | Zenith Fund Awards 2013 feature three new fund categories, covering direct property investment, exchange-traded funds (ETFs) and infrastructure.

The total number of sector categories remains unchanged, with the reorganisation of categories covering Australian equity alternative strategies, international equity alternative strategies and alternative strategies (including CTA/macro, multi-strategy, fund-of-hedge-fund, agribusiness, commodities and private equity).

The restructuring of the categories has seen some new faces among the finalists, this year such as Vanguard, Russell investments and State Street Global Advisors in the ETF category; and Australian Unity Investments, Folkestone, and GDI Property Group in the direct property sector.

The determination of the finalists, and ultimately the Fund Manager of the Year, is based on Zenith Investment Partners’ robust and highly regarded research methodology, and assesses a wide range of different aspects of a fund manager’s business.

The category winner and the overall winners will be announced at a luncheon in Sydney on October 11. Places are limited. Visit the event website at www.fundawards.com.au to book.
