Thomson Reuters Cleardocs, a leading provider of Australian legal and Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) documents has partnered with BGL Corporate Solutions, Australia’s leading supplier of SMSF administration software to streamline the SMSF establishment and administration process for Thomson Reuters Cleardocs and BGL’s Simple Fund 360 clients.
The partnership and integration will result in significant time and cost savings for both existing and future Thomson Reuters Cleardocs and BGL Simple Fund 360 clients and allow them to have a more scalable model.
Close to 600,000 SMSFs are now in operation, according to recent statistics released by the Australian Taxation Office, with thousands of new SMSFs being established every quarter (note 1).
“As the SMSF industry continues to rapidly expand in Australia, the partnership is a significant milestone towards simplifying the process in ordering, completing and submitting SMSF related documents including SMSF establishment,” said Ben Scull, Managing Director, Tax & Accounting, ANZ at Thomson Reuters.
“BGL continues to add leading suppliers to the Simple Fund 360 API,” said Ron Lesh, BGL Managing Director. The integration with Cleardocs will help our clients to easily prepare SMSF establishment and other documents removing the need for data input. BGL now has over 50 API integration partners.”
The initial rollout is aimed at SMSF establishments and is available now for BGL’s Simple Fund 360 clients. Over the coming months, Thomson Reuters Cleardocs and BGL Simple Fund 360 will be working to extend this integration across other documents.
