The Workplace Super Specialists Australia (WSSA) has announced that Assistant Treasurer Josh Frydenberg will be a keynote speaker at the WSSA’s inaugural conference on 26 August 2015, at the Shangri-La Hotel in Sydney.
“We are delighted to welcome the Assistant Treasurer to our very first conference and we feel certain that there will be much interest in what he has to say,” said WSSA CEO Douglas Latto.
Mr Frydenberg will join other well-regarded speakers, including Warren Chant, director of Chant West, and Chris Wrightson, director of Centurion Market Makers. Government relations strategist, Kerry Chikarovski, will be Master of Ceremonies.
There will also be three highly topical Panel Sessions. “The first will be on robo advice and how it might impact financial advice in the workplace,” Mr Latto said. “Senior executives from the life insurance industry will then give their thoughts on the sustainability of the group insurance market, in light of recent market upheaval.”
The final session will discuss how workplace advice firms can succeed and how they will remain relevant post 2017.
“The Conference will allow us to announce the WSSA’s recent rebranding and exciting new direction,” Mr Latto said. “It will also provide an excellent opportunity for all those currently in the workplace financial education space, and those thinking of entering it, to network with peers and understand the challenges of this exciting industry going forward.”
