The SMSF Association is pleased to announce the appointment of Craig Jameson as General Manager Corporate Development. He will be based in Sydney.

SMSF Association Managing Director/CEO Andrea Slattery says Craig brings an impressive skill set to the organisation that will empower him to continue to build the Association’s corporate development at all levels.

“What is critically important in this commercial development role is to have a firm understanding of the SMSF sector, and Craig certainly has this having worked for AMP (four years) and ANZ (three years) in senior executive roles and board positions in their SMSF divisions.

“He has also worked for ING Australia, the Belle Property Group, and Tower Group in positions that have expanded his knowledge of not just SMSFs but the entire financial services industry.

“A lawyer by profession, Craig made the decision early in his professional career to go into financial services, and the Association is now set to benefit from his accumulated knowledge and experience over many years.

“At this important junction of the Association’s evolution as we continue to expand our membership into the trustee market, Craig will have an important role to play in this program, while his main focus will be on our professional members.”

Craig Jameson said he was honored and thrilled to be appointed to this position in an organisation that is widely recognised as the “thought leader and voice” of the SMSF sector.

“Over the years I have watched the important role that the Association plays in advocacy, education and improving professional skills across the sector, and to now have the opportunity to be an integral part of this team is an exciting career move.

“I believe my experience in the SMSF sector and financial services generally equips me to play my part in ensuring the Association remains the peak body for SMSFs.”
