CALI board elects co-chair and three directors

The board of the Council of Australian Life Insurers has appointed MLC life insurance chief executive Kent Griffin as co-chair, sharing the position with AIA Australia CEO Damien Mu. 

Griffin has over 30 years of experience in financial services, both domestic and international. He replaces former TAL chief executive Brett Clark who is now CEO of Dai-chi Life Asia Pacific.
 

Three board directors have also been elected: 

  • TAL Group chief executive Fiona Macgregor 
  • Munich Re Australasia chief executive Nicolas Carro 
  • Challenger life and solutions chief executive Anton Kapel
     

Pacific Life Re managing director Tyson Johnston has retired from the board. 

These appointments take the total number of directors on the board to 10.
