(SPAA) State Technical Conferences

The SMSF Professionals’ Association of Australia (SPAA) will hold its annual series of State Technical Conferences in five capital cities around Australia in July and August to ensure its members stay abreast of standards, regulations and changes in the industry.

They will be held in Sydney on July 24, Melbourne July 25, Adelaide July 31, Perth August 1 and Brisbane on August 7.

The 9th Annual State Technical Conferences will feature six of Australia’s top SMSF experts who will deliver a comprehensive technical program for the quickly growing SMSF sector.

Andrea Slattery, chief executive officer of SPAA, says: “Our technical conferences have become a key event on the SPAA calendar, playing a critical role in keeping our members up to date with the latest developments in the industry.

“With all the changes that have happened in superannuation, this year’s conferences will take on added importance with the program including strategic, technical, regulatory and other sessions designed specifically for professionals advising SMSFs.

“SPAA is committed to fostering and enhancing integrity and professionalism in the SMSF sector by encouraging and supporting professionals to achieve excellence in their education, knowledge and skills,” Slattery says.
