On Friday, October 14, the winner of the 2011 S&P Fund Awards Fund Manager of the Year will be announced by Standard & Poor’s Fund Services, in association with Professional Planner.
The awards honor the best fund managers in the Australian market and use a high degree of qualitative analysis to identify managers with the best capabilities in a range of asset classes.
The methodology is not based on the past performance of individual funds but assesses investment strategy, the investment team and investment process; supported by appropriate risk management, compliance, administration and governance.
The S&P Fund Awards are separated into sector awards as well as group awards in order to commend excellence in individual asset classes as well as the value in overall funds management achievements.
Colonial First State Global Asset Management was named Fund Manager of the Year in 2010.
