Something big is happening at the FPA. We are set on a path to making financial planning a universally respected profession, and that’s going to be good news for every one of us. The FPA National Member Roadshow 2011 is your chance to hear first hand about the New FPA, which was launched to members at the National Conference in November. You’ll get some insights into the thinking behind the strategy, get to see and contribute to the direction of the proposed 5-year consumer advertising campaign, and be able to ask questions or voice any concerns that you may have. There’s a member vote in early April on the constitutional changes that are needed to implement the strategy, and we’re keen to have as much member input as possible before then.

Another big challenge facing financial planners, in addition to restoring consumer trust, is the Government’s proposed reform to the profession. This is our second major topic for discussion at the roadshow, and we are keen to hear your views.
