Allianz study reveals three-quarters of retirees open to work

A study by Allianz has unveiled more than 75 per cent of retirees and pre-retirees are open to employment post-retirement.

Furthermore, over 80 per cent of retirees and pre-retirees believe the age pension is insufficient to financially support their retirement.

This reflects Australian retirees shifting views towards their retirement as they live longer lives and need more financial support.

Allianz found that Australians aged 55 to 65, referred to as Gen X ‘flexers’, see retirement as an opportunity to integrate part time work with travel and hobbies.
