ASFA has appointed James Koval as its head of policy and advocacy in a newly created role.
With more than a decade of public policy experience, Koval has held roles in the legislative agenda of federal and territory governments. Most recently, he has worked as a government engagement specialist in the vice-chancellor’s office at the University of Sydney.
Koval holds a Bachelor of International Relations from the Australian National University and holds qualifications in public policy from the London School of Economics. He is currently undertaking a Master of Public Policy at the University of Sydney.
