Novigi has closed its specialist superannuation law advisory practice, QMV Legal, with managing partner Jonathan Steffanoni set to start a new firm.
QMV Legal will be formally closed on 26 April. It was acquired by Novigi in February as a part of the QMV Solutions business.
Novigi said while QMV Legal “has made a significant impact”, but “a law offering is not quite a natural fit or aligned” with the business.
Steffanoni will establish a new independent business structure, Legal and Prudential Advisors, and continue to provide legal, risk, and compliance advice. Novigi said it will engage with the new entity on a strategic retainer.
