Super fund performance was up for the fourth consecutive month in February, with the median growth fund (61 to 80 per cent in growth assets) delivering a 1.9 per cent return for the period, according to researcher Chant West.

The return over those past four months is 9 per cent, lifting the return over the first eight months of the FY24 financial year to 6.7 per cent.

The research house found the strong February result was powered by international share markets, fuelled in large part by healthy corporate earnings results.

The median growth fund now returned 7.2 per cent per annum over the last decade, and balanced fund delivered 5.7 per cent.
