Zurich Financial Services Australia has won a place on eight new approved product lists in the last 12 months, including AMP Financial Planning, Matrix Planning Solutions, Mercer, Aon Hewitt Financial Advice and Suncorp Life’s Guardian Advice.
The group, which will soon begin a search to replace manager of sales strategies and research Marc Fabris, was also retained on ANZ Wealth’s product menu.
Richard Dunkerley, corporate communications manager at Zurich Life and Investments, said the group had experienced stellar growth in new sales during a difficult period for the life and risk industry.
He added that Zurich had ramped up its commitment to helping dealer groups and advisers maximise business efficiencies.
“The focus of our conversations with dealer groups and financial planners has not been around how good our products are, but rather how they can use technology to drive efficiency,” he said.
“We’ve been helping advisers use social media and mobile technology to source new customers and educate and communicate with existing clients.”
Fabris, who was instrumental in driving the group’s digital technology and social media strategy, has been promoted to Zurich’s global head of distribution based in Switzerland.
He has a global mandate to drive the distribution and marketing strategies within Zurich’s markets around the world.
Fabris’ work included the development of mobile apps for financial advisers.
This story was corrected on 11/11/13 to say Zurich was retained on ANZ Wealth’s product menu, not reinstated.
