Colonial First State has announced an arrangement with Viridian Advisory to allow CFS FirstChoice superannuation, pension and investment members who do not have a financial adviser to access one-off, topic-focused advice.

CFS members without a financial adviser can access advice from Viridian on specific topics, including personal investments, debt, superannuation, pensions, retirement planning and Centrelink.

CFS FirstChoice customers who do not have an adviser will be able to access advice in modular blocks which start at $500, with any combination of blocks capped at $3000.

This service has been created due to the need for more financial advice across CFS’s member base.

Viridian Advisory has been brought in as they have the scale, national reach and willingness to develop an affordable, topic-based offer for CFS members, the platform provider said. CFS may in the future expand this approach with other licensees as demand for advice increases.

This arrangement with Viridian is part of CFS’s commitment to providing its members with access to advice through several options. Other options CFS has introduced include collaborating with Otivo for self-guided digital financial advice as well as the Find an Adviser tool to connect members to the most suitable adviser.

Viridian, a longtime partner of Westpac/BT became a “cornerstone client” of the CFS Edge platform a year ago.
