AustralianSuper names head of Americas alongside other new hires

AustralianSuper has appointed Mikaël Limpalaër as its head of Americas, alongside a slew of other new hires in the US office.

The changes and other new appointments include:

  • Nick Ward, head of private credit, to relocate to the New York office
  • Maria Reed appointed head of fund services, Americas
  • Damien Mitchell appointed senior investment director, real assets
  • Andrew Osborne appointed senior investment director, real assets
  • Matthew Choi appointed senior investment director, private credit

Deputy chief investment officer of AustralianSuper, Damian Moloney, said around $102 billion or 30 per cent of member assets are now invested in North America.

There are around 60 professionals in New York and Moloney said the number is expected to grow to more than 120 by 2026.

AustralianSuper is the biggest super fund in Australia with $342 billion in assets under management.
