Professional Planner and Zenith have today revealed the first tranche of finalists for the 2017 Professional Planner | Zenith Fund Awards.
The annual awards, to be held this year at the Ivy Ballroom in Sydney on Friday, October 6, celebrate excellence in 19 funds management categories, including Distributor of the Year and Fund Manager of the Year. Today, Professional Planner unveiled finalists from the first nine categories (see table below).
Last year, Fund Manager of the Year was awarded to Bennelong Australian Equity Partners, which demonstrated outperformance in multiple categories over multiple timeframes. BAEP also took out the Australian Equities – large cap, and Australian Equities – small/mid/micro cap categories.
The finalists for the 2017 Distributor of the Year – which recognises excellence in marketing, sales and distribution – will be announced next month. Finalists, and the winner, for Fund Manager of the Year will be announced on the night.
Tomorrow, July 21, Professional Planner will announce the finalists in the following categories:
- Multi Asset – Diversified
- Multi Asset – Real Return
- International Equities – Emerging Markets and Regional
- International Equities – Alternative Strategies (Long / Short Global, Long / Short Regional, Income overlay (options)
- International Equities – Global
- Australian Equities – Alternative Strategies (incl Long / Short, Income overlay (options)
- Australian Equities – Small Cap
- Australian Equities – Large Cap.
