OneVue (ASX: OVH) today announced the appointment of Matt Lawler to the new position of Executive General Manager, Wealth Management Services.

Mr Lawler will oversee OneVue’s distribution strategy. The role is responsible for growing the number of B2B and B2C businesses that partner with OneVue to access superannuation and investment services for their clients. Institutions, Licensee Groups, boutique Financial Planning and Accounting Groups are all part of OneVue’s target market. Mr Lawler will also assume responsibility for Product and Marketing.

Group Managing Director, Connie Mckeage said, “We are pleased to have Matt join the Group Executive at OneVue. His experience and reputation in wealth management are important to our strategy. Matt’s role will deliver additional value to current partnerships with planners and secure new relationships.”

Mr Lawler has over 25 years’ experience in financial services having held senior executive roles with MLC, NAB and most recently as CEO of ASX listed Yellow Brick Road (YBR:ASX). Matt has led large networks of financial planners and accountants, and created new advised and direct-to-member footprints for existing businesses.

Commenting on his appointment Matt Lawler said “I have worked with Connie and the team at OneVue during the last 5 years and have experienced first-hand their talent. Innovation is in their DNA and their culture is genuinely partnership based, internally and externally. The business is solid and growing with strong future prospects. I am particularly excited about the FUND.eXchange, which has the potential to be a real game changer.”

Ms Mckeage said: “Matt’s appointment follows the appointments of Richard Harris-Smith, Executive General Manager, Fund Services, in February 2016 and Vince Parrott, Executive General Manager, Trustee and Governance Services last month after the merger with Diversa.

“This rounds out the executive to create an exceptional team with the best skills, breadth of experience and personality to drive the next phase of OneVue’s business growth.
