At its Annual General Meeting on Monday, 28 November 2016, IMCA australia appointed five new Directors to the Board; Kim Bowater, Annika Bradley, Hendrie Koster, Paul Newfield, and Keri Pratt.
These appointments fill vacancies left by retiring directors; Robert Hogg, Graeme Miller, Paul O’Connor, Ian Patrick, and Janice Sengupta.
“It’s an exciting time at IMCA australia. It is a time of transition”, said Brett Elvish, Chair of IMCA australia. “We have appointed a new education provider, a new General Manager, and we are altering our direction slightly. It therefore was important that as a board we keep ahead of the industry and have directors that can guide the Association through these changes.”
“These appointments are a nod to the past and a nod to the future. We have been careful to ensure we have the right mix of our traditional constituency as well as sufficient skills and experience of where we are headed and what we need to get there. We also have been mindful of diversity with the three female appointments to improve the Board’s gender diversity and we also are pleased to make an appointment that is based outside of Sydney and Melbourne.”
“We are grateful for the contribution made by the retiring directors during their term on the Board and we are sorry that they have decided to retire. But new roles and new responsibilities bring additional pressures and we understand that people’s priorities and availabilities change. The Board wishes our retiring Directors well for the future.”
