The Institute of Managed Account Professionals (IMAP) is to host a briefing at which ASIC will speak on the rationale and details of the recent changes to MDA regulation. Attendees will also have a chance to ask questions about the intent and application of the3 new regulations.
Hosted by Macquarie concurrently in Sydney, Melbourne and Brisbane and connected by video conference, the briefing will also include presentations from Claire Wivell Plater from The Fold Legal in Sydney and David Court and Matthew Twomey from Holley Nethercote in Melbourne. Attendees will be able to question these speakers on the commercial implications of the changes.
The ASIC presentation will explain the options available to advisers currently using the Limited MDA and provide detail on MDA regulation, such as the deferment of consideration of NTA requirements for MDA Providers for two years.
The briefing will be held at 4.30-6.30 AEDT 26 October at Macquarie’s offices. Attendance in person can be booked through the IMAP website www.imap.asn.au
