Global investment firm T. Rowe Price’s Australian Equity Fund has been added to BT Financial Group’s High Services List (HSL).
T. Rowe Price Managing Director Australia and New Zealand Murray Brewer said the fund’s HSL status is a testament to the quality conviction consistently demonstrated by portfolio manager Randal Jenneke, his team, and their colleagues on the firm’s global investment research platform.
“We rigorously assess every stock through a local and global expert lens in order to identify the potential for growth,” Mr Brewer said.
“In a more globalized investment market, we believe this ability to combine global research and local expertise gives us a discernible edge against competitors and a unique value proposition for portfolios.”
Mr Brewer said adjustments to the Australian Equity Fund fee structure, effective 1 September 2016, make the fund more compelling in a post-FoFA (Future of Financial Advice) environment.
“We have aligned pricing with institutional levels which is very competitive for a high quality core growth Australian Equity Fund,” Mr Brewer said.
T. Rowe Price, a long time investor in Australian equities through its stable of off-shore funds, established a dedicated Australian investment capability in 2010 with the appointment of Mr Jenneke and the launch of the Australian Equity Fund in 2012. Mr Jenneke now manages a team of six analysts and a dedicated trading specialist.
