Boutique equity fund manager, Arnhem Investment Management, has received an “Investment Grade SMA” rating from Lonsec Research* for its recently launched Australia Plus and Global Growth SMA strategies.
While Australian equity separately managed accounts (SMAs) have been around for over a decade, global equity SMAs have only recently been launched in Australia as a result of upgraded platform functionality. Arnhem Investment Management is the first Australian fund manager to have two global SMA’s rated by an Australian research house.
Arnhem Managing Partner George Clapham said, ‘we are pleased to have received an investment grade rating, and believe it is an endorsement of Arnhem’s longstanding equity and team capabilities.’
‘We are delighted to launch our global capability via the SMA structure, as it offers our clients and their advisers unprecedented transparency over a high conviction, low turnover portfolio, as well as having their own individual cost base. There is a part of the market that has evolved beyond the traditional unit trust structure, and we have evolved to meet this need’.
Arnhem Global Portfolio Manager Theo Maas said ‘As we have seeded these two strategies for over twelve months, we were very pleased to have our funding and delivery processes described as ‘best practice’ by Lonsec, which is one of the most highly regarded research houses in Australia. Our team has been managing Australian equities for over fifteen years, and this is a natural extension of our successful investment process into international markets. With this endorsement, we are excited about working more closely with advisers who are seeking high conviction global strategies to add value to their clients’ portfolios’.
The Arnhem Australia Plus and Global Growth portfolios are now available via the Hub24, Mason Stevens and Linear platforms, with further platform listings to be announced shortly.
