ndustry super fund Energy Super has appointed a new financial adviser in Townsville to guide clients in North and Far North Queensland, particularly those impacted by the ongoing changes to the region’s energy industry.
Experienced financial adviser Shiona Hargen will provide financial services to Energy Super members, ESI Financial Services clients and ECU members.
A Townsville resident for the past 14 years, Ms Hargen holds a Bachelor of Sociology and an Advanced Diploma of Financial Services. She previously worked for 12 years as a Client Services Officer and Authorised Representative for Clearview Financial Advice.
Prior to that, Shiona ran her family business in New Zealand, which fostered her focus on delivering excellent client service and building strong relationships.
Energy Super CEO Robyn Petrou said the appointment would allow the fund to better service and advise clients in the region, which was particularly important given the ongoing changes to the energy sector.
“The appointment of a new Townsville-based financial advisor highlights Energy Super’s member driven focus and commitment to ensuring all of our members and clients have access to financial advice,” she said.
“Shiona’s role will see her provide financial planning services and advice to Energy Super members and ESI Financial Services clients in North and Far North Queensland. She will be based in Townsville but will travel regularly to Cairns and to other regional centres as required.
“Shiona has keenly embraced Energy Super’s member-centric values and she will provide valuable financial advice tailored to each member’s individual circumstances.”
