Less than 18 months after launching to the national financial advice community, Sunsuper has today announced the appointment of two new Business Development Managers and the introduction of an online portal for financial advisers, Adviser Online.

Alessandra Bertora and William Burke join Sunsuper as Business Development Managers responsible for growing Sunsuper’s membership and funds under management via external financial advisers and ensuring that Sunsuper is at the top of advisers’ recommended list when they’re advising their clients on superannuation and retirement products.

Sunsuper’s Retail Distribution and Advice National Manager Anne Fuchs said these appointments now take the number of Business Development Managers executing the Fund’s retail distribution strategy to four, sending a clear message to the market that Sunsuper is growing rapidly in this space and is committed to supporting financial advisers over the long term.

“At Sunsuper we’re doing our bit to make it easier for Australians to access high quality, low cost super and pension products like Sunsuper’s by continuing to invest in dedicated staff and services for financial advisers wanting to partner with us,” said Ms Fuchs.

Ms Bertora joins Sunsuper with more than ten years’ experience in the financial advice industry, most recently in specialist roles at Westpac/St George. Mr Burke has more than ten years’ experience as a financial adviser, including roles at Citibank and Entrust Solutions, and also served as the Chair of the Association of Financial Adviser’s GenXt QLD for three years.

Sunsuper has also launched a new Adviser Online portal which enables advisers to login via the Sunsuper website and see their clients’ account information in real time, at any time, and on a variety of devices, including tablets and smartphones.

“The positive feedback we’ve received so far from financial advisers about Sunsuper’s new Adviser Online has been very exciting and shows that Sunsuper truly believes in partnering with advisers and making their jobs easier.

“What’s even more exciting is that this is only the first phase of our Adviser Online facility. We will continue to grow and upgrade this online service to ensure we’re making it easy for advisers to do business with us.”

Sunsuper is one of Australia’s largest super and retirement businesses with one million members and $35 billion in funds under management.
