Implemented Portfolios, a leading managed account specialist dedicated to helping financial advisers provide a consistent and scalable client experience, has today announced the rollout of its new Branded Individually Managed Account (IMA) service.

The first-of-its-kind fintech solution will provide Australian financial advisers and licensees the ability to white-label the Implemented Portfolios IMA technology, while utilising their own model portfolios or those of a chosen service provider. The Branded IMA solution extends the Implemented Portfolios (IP) service beyond those that choose to use IP’s own in-house investment expertise and structure, allowing advisers to have their asset allocation and investment portfolios seamlessly executed while treating every client as an individual at every level of the value chain. In this way, the new service brings the scalability and customisation benefits of the IP technology to a greater number of advisers and practices.

“Most advisers want to spend less time on investments and more time with their clients, and for those advisers we will continue to successfully offer our world class dynamic asset allocation service and structure. But for those advisers for whom investment management is a central plank of their value proposition, such as those offer their own model portfolios, we have now amended our service so that these professionals can also gain access to our leading IMA technology, which reduces the costs and complexities associated with delivering traditional investment management to clients,” said Santi Burridge, chief executive, corporate development at Implemented Portfolios.

“Both of these types of advisers – which we call “asset gatherers” and “asset managers” respectively – should be focusing on the same goal of mass portfolio customisation and delivering a consistent, scalable yet truly individualised experience to clients by technology, not people. We share that goal and the Branded IMA allows them to do that in a superior fashion to anything currently on the Australian market,” Burridge said.

The Branded IMA solution is fully customisable to an advice practice’s brand and aesthetics, thereby helping emerging companies, particularly in the independent and non-aligned sector, develop recognised brands and execute a winning marketing strategy. In addition, by providing efficiencies and scalability benefits to those advisers running in-house model portfolios, the solution also augments the commercial revenue activities of partner firms.

“At Implemented Portfolios we are out and proud supporters of the independent financial adviser community and part of our strategy behind the Branded IMA solution was to support the existing business operations of IFA firms,” Burridge said.

“With fintech innovation growing rapidly by the day and managed accounts – and IMAs in particular – consistently proving to have considerable benefits for both advisers and clients, we are passionate about collaborating with the IFA sector to ensure they are harnessing the power of new technology to create efficiencies and provide a superior service to clients.”

The Branded IMA solution is now available to financial advice practices for implementation. Implemented Portfolios is offering a free 20-minute strategy session to interested advisers, to explain how cutting edge technology can improve their business.
