Zurich Financial Services Australia (Zurich) has launched a new adviser portal – ZLife – designed to give advisers new levels of visibility and efficiency when managing their Zurich customer portfolio.

Offering unparalleled functionality and a user experience shaped by beta testing with risk advisers, ZLife is the first mobile optimised portal of its type in the Australian market.

The portal allows users to view applications and renewals at a glance, along with transactions and account balances. Additionally, the portal allows the downloading of forms and other documents – and the uploading of attachments including photographs – quickly and easily from the any mobile device, laptop or desktop.

Head of Retail Distribution for Zurich’s Australian Life and Investments business Kristine Brooks, said ZLife represented a major leap forward in digital service capabilities within the life insurance sector, and was the latest example of Zurich supporting adviser efficiency through its ‘Blueprints for the Future’ program.

“Efficiency is currently the primary focus for the majority of advisers, but the challenge has been to drive meaningful efficiencies without compromising the customer experience,” she said.

“According to our research, automation and process simplification are two of the main ways advisers are seeking to drive this efficiency, and we expect the launch of ZLife to be warmly welcomed by the market.

Extensive beta testing with a pilot group of risk advisers has helped ensure the portal meets the practical needs of today’s busy advice practice. The inclusion of extended session timeouts and a delegation function are a direct outcome of this process.

“Increasingly we are seeing multiple support staff get involved throughout the customer life cycle, which is why the ability to easily add different users to the one adviser account is so convenient”, said Brooks.

Core functionality also includes a weekly summary email, which Zurich plans to evolve to a full push notification service in the near future.

“The beauty of ZLife is it offers a powerful birdseye view of a customer portfolio with true mobility, giving advisers more effectiveness even when away from their office.”

ZLife replaced Zurich’s Adviser Assist portal on May 2nd.
