The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) will next week host a roadshow in Canberra, ahead of the AFA National Adviser Conference, also to be held in Canberra.

The Canberra Roadshow, which takes place on 27 April, reflects the AFA’s recent Genxt National Connect Tour that attracted 1,300 advisers and will showcase a variety of exciting and well-respected presenters including 2015 Excellence in Education Award winner Charles Badenach and Joint Managing Director of Netwealth, Matt Heine. The keynote speaker for the event will be Audere Coaching and Consulting’s Stewart Bell who will discuss the changing nature of financial advice and what advice practices can learn from Silicon Valley success stories.

AFA CEO Brad Fox said the roadshow program focuses on delivering quality advice strategies and maximising business performance.

The AFA wants those in our community who recognise the need for change to be empowered to create their own future as professional financial advisers and Canberra, where the highest-level decisions are made and Australia’s future is determined, is a great place to do just that,” said Mr Fox.

This year’s AFA National Adviser Conference, which runs from October 5-7, will also attract around 1,000 delegates to the nation’s capital and will feature a program built on the AFA’s four learning pillars of adviser performance, business performance, quality advice strategies and professionalism and leadership, while focussing on how to implement real and valuable changes to financial advice delivery.

The Canberra Roadshow will take place in the Centenary Room at the Hyatt Hotel Canberra. For more details and to book a seat visit: https://www.afa.asn.au/events/afa-canberra-roadshow-0.
