It’s not news that technology is having a significant impact across a number of financial services segments and according to CANSTAR Award-winner NobleOak, this includes the life insurance segment.

“Life insurance has been much slower to move online (but) this is clearly changing quickly, as people become more web savvy and awareness for the need for Life insurance across the community increases,” said NobleOak Chief Executive Officer, Anthony R Brown.

“There is much stronger willingness to make a life insurance purchasing decision online without a financial adviser than in the past, and this trend continues.”

A vitally important element of buying income protection insurance directly is having confidence in the value of the product being bought. CANSTAR has researched and rated 14 direct income protection insurance policies from 12 providers across 80 consumer profiles, assessing each policy on both price and features to determine which insurers are offering outstanding value to consumers.

“Any form of personal insurance is a complex area for consumers. It’s also a very emotive area if it comes to making a claim, as has been highlighted recently in the press,” said CANSTAR General Manager – Wealth, Josh Callaghan.

“CANSTAR’s research of both price and features helps consumers to filter products according to their priorities and make a shortlist of products to investigate further. We congratulate both NobleOak and ANZ on their Outstanding Value win.”

Responding to the award, NobleOak’s Mr Brown said that maintaining a strong value proposition for customers is of critical importance to them.

“We ensure this by continually monitoring the needs of our customers as well as competitor products. Our product team regularly consider opportunities for product improvements and innovation.”

CANSTAR congratulates NobleOak and ANZ on their outstanding achievement.
