PIMCO is the winner of the Australian Morningstar Fixed Interest Fund Manager of the Year Award.
Morningstar considers a variety of factors when selecting the winner of its prestigious awards, including absolute and relative performance and the risk/return profile versus a benchmark or peer group.
In recognising PIMCO’s 2015 win, Morningstar Australia said that PIMCO “continues to produce excellent results across a range of strategies” and was a deserving winner “in a year when many competitors were caught unaware by interest-rate movements.”
Robert Mead, Head of Portfolio Management at PIMCO Australia, said he was very pleased with the win and said this reflected the quality, stability and focus of the team.
“Winning this Morningstar Award reflects the deep pool of talent, hard-work and focus of PIMCO’s domestic and international fixed interest team. Investors should continue to feel confident about PIMCO’s management of the fixed interest component of their portfolio. ”
In addition to the Morningstar award for Australia, PIMCO has also been awarded Morningstar’s Best Large Fixed Income House in Spain, Austria, Germany, Luxembourg, Singapore and Hong Kong.
