New private wealth management firm announces appointments of top advisers in philanthropy and non-profit sector

Two of Australia’s top non-profit and philanthropic advisers, David Knowles and Chris Wilson, have been appointed as Partners at fast growing independent private wealth management firm, Koda Capital.

CEO of Koda Capital, Mr Paul Heath said “We are delighted that specialists David and Chris have chosen Koda Capital to provide their expert services to non–profit groups and philanthropists across Australia.

“David and Chris are leaders in this specialist field, attracting more than $1 billion in funds under management and advice over the last three years while at JBWere. Philanthropic and non-profit advice is one of the core pillars of Koda’s independent, fee for service offering and we have started with the best in the field”, he added.

Mr Knowles has more than 25 years of experience in wealth management both in Australia and the UK, while Mr Wilson has been in the field for over a decade.

“Charities, government, corporates and individuals have struggled to solve social problems in isolation, and they now must look to find new ways of working together in order to achieve successful outcomes. We are beginning to see these kinds of collaborations in the emerging field of impact investing,” said Mr Knowles.

“Chris and I are passionate about providing advice to social capital investors in the philanthropic and non-profit sector and by joining Koda Capital, we will be able to provide this service in an independent environment where we can offer objective advice and work in partnership with clients,” he added.

Koda Capital was established late last year to provide specialist advice to high net wealth families, executives of public and private companies, as well as non-profit organisations and philanthropists.

The four main areas of Koda’s activity are in the creation of investment strategies for clients’ needs and aspirations; financial planning, including advice on appropriate structures; providing advice for various generations of wealthy families; as well as advice within the philanthropic space.
