MyState Limited (ASX:MYS), the banking and wealth management group, announced today the appointment of Mr Paul Moss as general manager, technology and operations. Mr Moss is currently director, information technology advisory in KPMG’s Hobart office. He will commence with MyState Limited on 13 May 2015.
Mr Moss brings more than 20 years’ experience in the information technology sector to MyState Limited. He has led KPMG’s Tasmanian IT advisory practice since 2012, and previously was program director at the University of Tasmania for 18 months. Before that, he was director, information systems for Betfair Australia from 2006 to 2011, having joined Betfair UK in 2003 as manager, information systems. Prior, he held several senior management technology roles in the UK, and was chief technology officer at AIM-listed Future Internet Technologies plc, which he joined in 2001 after the company purchased a web-based email system Mr Moss developed. He was also vice president, trading systems infrastructure with Chase Manhattan Bank from 1997 to 1999.
MyState’s managing director and chief executive officer, Melos Sulicich, said: “Paul’s wide experience in the technology sector, his innovation focus and entrepreneurial spirit will be of great benefit to MyState as we expand into new geographic markets and improve our digital channels and services for customers. Increasingly technology is a differentiator for financial services organisations and we are determined to ensure we leverage the nimbleness of our company in this area.”
Mr Moss holds a Master of Business Administration from the University of Tasmania and a Bachelor of Engineering (Hons), Electrical Engineering from the University of Leicester (UK).
