Leading independently-owned financial advisory, Fortnum Financial Group has appointed former head of technology, advice and marketing at MLC & NAB Wealth, Sal Torrisi to lead the group’s investment administration arm, e-Clipse Online.
Torrisi will be responsible for driving the operational efficiency of Fortnum’s unified managed accounts platform. He will oversee the ongoing development of e-Clipse Online and the platform’s integration into Fortnum’s principal practices to drive greater back-office automation, efficiency and productivity.
Torrisi will report to Fortnum Financial Group executive chairman Ray Miles.
“This role provides a unique opportunity for me to utilise my entire skill set which spans technology, and business & project management,” Torrisi said.
“Innovation rarely comes from the big institutions but rather tends to flourish within smaller companies. As an independently-owned boutique advisory firm Fortnum has the flexibility and freedom to build more efficient, client-centric solutions without being shackled by legacy systems and platforms.”
“Fortnum is ideally placed to capture opportunities in advice and wealth management. Technology is an enabler and it is driving significant change.”
Torrisi, who was most recently a consultant to FNZ and Fortnum Financial Group, also previously held senior management roles at Colonial First State and AXA before joining MLC & NAB Wealth in 2010 to 2014.
At MLC & NAB Wealth, he was responsible for managing the group’s customer relationship management system, financial planning software and enterprise data warehouse.
