Lazard voted best Infrastructure Fund 2014 by Zenith

The Lazard Global Listed Infrastructure Fund has been awarded ‘Best Infrastructure Fund 2014’ in this year’s Professional Planner Zenith Fund Awards.

The Lazard team were praised for the success of the infrastructure opportunities provided by their ‘preferred’ universe based on securities that possess the characteristics of higher revenue certainty and lower volatility.

Susan Roberts, CEO, Lazard Asset Management Pacific Co said the Zenith Awards were an important recognition of Lazard’s ability to successfully apply our relative-value investment style across a broad range of global investments, with infrastructure clearly being a standout performer over the last 8 or 9 years.

“The team’s hard work has generated a lot of interest amongst a cross section of investors since it was launched nine years ago,” she said.

Roberts said the Lazard Global Listed Infrastructure team focuses on globally listed securities of infrastructure companies.

“We believe the inclusion of listed infrastructure in an investor’s international equities exposure provides significant diversification benefits, with the potential to improve the risk/return profile of the overall portfolio.

“This is part of Lazard’s philosophy of value investing by identifying securities with strong qualitative and fundamental value.”

The awards, based on Zenith Investment Partners’ highly regarded research, takes place annually.
