A meeting of creditors of van Eyk Research Pty Ltd voted this morning to liquidate the company.
Trent Hancock of Moore Stephens Sydney Corporate Recovery Group, as liquidator of van Eyk Research Pty Ltd, said the liquidation would not impact the sales currently being negotiated for the business and assets of the Australian and New Zealand businesses.
During the meeting, Mr Hancock updated creditors about progress with the sales, saying term sheets had been signed with potential purchasers of both the Australian and New Zealand businesses.
“I expect sales contracts to be exchanged shortly” he said.
Mr Hancock said that as part of the liquidation, he will continue his investigation into the affairs of the van Eyk business in an effort to identify what occurred in the lead-up to the company’s collapse.
“I will also be continuing to assist the Australian Securities and Investments Commission and the Financial Markets Authority in New Zealand with their respective investigations,” he said.
