Russell Hannah recently joined BT Financial Group as Regional Manager for NSW/ACT. Within the life insurance division he is leading the business development team operating across the IFA, aligned & bank adviser channels. Mr Hannah is a well-respected insurance specialist with over 15 years’ industry experience.
Before commencing with BT in August 2014, Russell was the National Insurance Manager at MLC, a position he held for the past 6 years.

BT expands technical team
BT Financial Group has appointed Rachel Leong as Product Technical Manager, Life Insurance.
Previously with Suncorp Life for over 10 years, Ms Leong adds to the team’s technical, communications and financial expertise, as well as bringing a wealth of experience from having worked closely with financial advisers to implement strategies for clients.
Ms Leong will report to Katherine Ashby, Senior Product Technical Manager. As part of her role, she will be writing technical articles on life insurance advice, providing strategy support to advisers, presenting at professional development days and conferences, and supporting the broader insurance business at BT.
Ms Ashby said BT is thrilled with Ms Leong’s appointment.
“Rachel has a strong background in technical roles with a life insurance focus, a specialty that is very hard to find! Her addition increases head count in the LifeTech team and means we can provide more support to both our dealer group and financial adviser partners.”
Ms Leong said she’s looking forward to working with BT and drawing on her industry and product expertise to assist financial advisers.
