The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and ANZ Wealth have announced Ben Budge of My Wealth Solutions as the 2014 AFA Rising Star of the Year, at the AFA National Adviser Conference in Cairns today.
The AFA Rising Star Award (the Award) recognises the best new advisers who provide quality financial advice, demonstrate a commitment to education, and make a valuable contribution to their profession and to their community.
AFA CEO, Brad Fox, said Mr Budge is thoroughly deserving of the Award, having gone through a rigorous judging process with several other outstanding finalists and nominees.
“Ben has proven to have a strong commitment to personal development, to his clients and is constantly working to improve perceptions of financial advice throughout the community,” he said. “It is a pleasure to be able to recognise such an exceptional professional and have him be a part of our AFA community, which will no doubt benefit from insights into Ben’s journey through the early part of his career in financial advice.”
With this being the tenth year of the Award, the AFA and ANZ Wealth have been exceptionally pleased with the role it has played in attracting new talent into a career as a financial adviser. The Award, aided by the AFA’s GenXt initiative, which supports advisers early in their career, has ensured that the AFA is being seen as the association of choice for new financial advisers.
