Thomson Reuters Cleardocs integrates with existing Macquarie CMA service

Thomson Reuters, the world’s leading source of intelligent information for businesses and professionals, today announced that Cleardocs, its online legal document generation business, has integrated with Macquarie’s Cash Management Account (CMA) application process.

The new integration solution allows users to initiate a Macquarie CMA application at the same time as establishing their Cleardocs Self Managed Super Fund (SMSF) legal documents. With one in four SMSFs in Australia currently using Macquarie’s CMA¹, this will significantly reduce time and complex data entry requirements for many advisers with SMSF clients.

“Since its inception in 2002, Cleardocs has facilitated the creation of over one million legal documents online; providing accountants, financial planners and lawyers with pay per use legal document creation and resources. Our philosophy to provide a clear and easy to use platform has been amplified further through this integration with Macquarie,” said Lisa Galbraith, general manager, Cleardocs.

“We are the only Australian online legal document platform supported by a top 20 law firm and we are proud to have established this product integration with such a respected brand in Macquarie.”

Macquarie Banking and Financial Services Head of Cash Product, Peter Forrest, said: “Our focus continues to be on supporting financial advisers who want solutions to help them to work more efficiently and in a streamlined manner. This initiative further demonstrates how the integration of products with existing platforms can save valuable time for advisers in meeting the needs of their SMSF clients.”

Major benefits of the integration include:

– Simultaneous SMSF set up and initiation of CMA application;

– Time saving through pre-population and electronic submission of a CMA application;

– A simple, streamlined SMSF establishment process.
