Partners Group, the global private markets investment manager, has had its Partners Group Global Value Fund accepted onto the BT SuperWrap and Macquarie Wrap platforms.

The Partners Group Global Value Fund is an open-ended managed fund that provides investors with immediate exposure to a mature private equity portfolio of over 1’000 private companies operating around the globe. The fund provides access to these investments while offering monthly liquidity at NAV. This differs from a typical private equity fund that requires a long-term lock-up of capital with no liquidity.

Since the Global Value Fund’s inception in May 2007, it has achieved long-term out-performance of global public equity markets by 40% net of fees with less than half the volatility. Partners Group uses a relative value approach that over- weights those regions and industries globally that Partners Group assesses offer superior value at any given point in time.

Jonathan Abraham, a Vice President in Partners Group’s Sydney office, says, “Partners Group directly invests into international small to mid-sized private companies, as well as into select private equity funds managed by other high quality managers, on behalf of its clients. When investing directly into companies, Partners Group looks to take advantage of private equity opportunities by regularly negotiating access to more information, having control of strategic decisions in the underlying companies, executing value creation measures and investing with a long-term investment horizon.”

He continues: “The Fund gives investors access to international privately owned businesses, many of them household names, which are normally very difficult to access as they are not traded on public equity markets. Being private companies, their valuations are based upon underlying earnings and are a reflection of how the business is actually performing. Subsequently, private companies are not so exposed to the investor sentiment and volatility found in public equity markets.”

The Partners Group Global Value Fund is rated ‘Highly Recommended’ by Lonsec, ‘Recommended’ by Zenith and is highly rated by van Eyk.
