Mortgage Choice grows financial planning footprint

To support the rapid growth of its network of financial advisers, Mortgage Choice has appointed two new Practice Development Managers.

Garth Campbell has taken on the role of Practice Development Manager for the Southern Region, while Joseph Raad has been appointed to the role of Associate Practice Development Manager in Sydney.

Both Mr Campbell and Mr Raad bring a wealth of experience to the business, having held positions within the financial services industry for a number of years.

Mr Campbell joins the team armed with more than 18 years experience in financial planning, most recently as general manager of a well-respected financial planning firm in Melbourne. His hands-on experience implementing best practice solutions, along with his strong business acumen, means he is well equipped to support both the franchise owners who have invested in financial planning, and the advisers themselves.

As the Practice Development Manager for the Southern region, Mr Campbell will provide Mortgage Choice’s growing network of financial advisers with support to enable them to enhance the value and performance of their business.

Speaking about his appointment, Mr Campbell said he was excited to be joining such a respected and recognised brand that was in the early stages of its financial planning journey.

“Being able to work with broking franchises to develop robust and viable financial planning businesses that serve to further enhance their client experience is a very exciting opportunity for me, and one I am looking forward to sinking my teeth into,” Mr Campbell said.

His comments were echoed by Mr Raad, who joins the company armed with more than 7 years experience in the financial services sector.

“Mortgage Choice is building something quite unique and I am excited to join the team and help build something that I believe can change the shape of the financial services industry,” Mr Raad said.

Having previously worked at Macquarie Bank as the training and relationship manager for the COIN financial software, Mr Raad has significant experience training and supporting financial advisers to improve their business efficiency, a skill set that will be put to good use in his new role.

Mortgage Choice’s General Manager or financial planning Tania Milnes said the two appointments further highlight the company’s aggressive growth plans.

“The financial planning side of the business has been in operation for the past 18 months and has achieved significant growth in that time,” she said.

“We believe in making financial planning advice accessible to all Australians. We want our customers to live the life they want now, and in the future. For that, we believe they need real, relevant and results-driven financial advice, which is why we are aggressively growing our footprint in this space.”
