TAL has appointed Andrew Moffat as its new Chief People and Culture Officer.
Moffat will migrate to Australia from England and commence in the role in January 2014.
He takes on the role after incumbent Penny Coates was appointed earlier this year by TAL to the newly created executive role of Chief Customer Service and Operations Officer.
TAL Group CEO Jim Minto said Moffat had an impressive track record as a senior executive, particularly in aligning employee systems and processes around a customer and partner-focussed business strategy.
TAL’s new 10-year strategy focuses on ensuring it puts the customer at the centre of decision making and that TAL strategically dominates in the area of customer experience. To be successful, TAL will align and support its partners to deliver products and services that better meet the needs of customers throughout their life stages.
“Employees are the ones that drive business change and deliver on goals and I look forward to advancing the new journey TAL has embarked on,” Moffat said.
“I am excited to be joining the TAL team and was very impressed with the tangible commitment from everyone I met in putting our partners and customers at the heart of the way we do business.”
Most recently he was the Human Resources Director, Europe, at Aviva PLC.
Prior to this, Moffat was the Human Resources Director for Aviva’s Corporate Office and he held senior roles at Aduronet, Norwich Union, Teleglobe International, Intelsat and IBM UK Ltd.
