The finalists in the Professional Planner | Zenith Fund Awards 2013 has been announced, with some new faces among the fund managers vying for honours in these prestigious awards.

This year’s awards also feature new award categories, including direct property, exchange-traded funds and infrastructure.

Today Professional Planner reveals the finalists in eight categories. On Monday we will reveal finalists in the remaining categories, including Fund Manager of the Year and Distributor of the Year.

The awards recognise excellence in the application of a fund manager’s investment philosophy and process through Zenith Investment Partners’ robust and comprehensive manager assessment methodology, encompassing nine key aspects of a manager’s business.

All of the finalists were in the running to be named Fund Manager of the Year, and the winner will be announced at a luncheon at Ivy Ballroom, Sydney, on October 11.
