Conexus Financial, publisher of Professional Planner and Professional Planner Online, has partnered with research and consulting firm Chant West to develop the Super Fund Awards. In a first, Chant West is applying its deep industry knowledge and expertise to an awards event. The awards will recognise achievement and excellence in the superannuation industry.
“We want the awards to recognise excellence, and also to articulate what that means in a practical sense,” says Colin Tate, chief executive of Conexus Financial. “The ultimate goal is to show the industry how it can raise standards across the board in terms of quality and outcomes for clients and individual members.”
For Warren Chant, principal of Chant West, the approach is equally meaningful.
“We don’t want to have too many awards, but we do want them to cover all the important industry segments,” Chant says.
“We want each award to be meaningful to funds and to their members. We will explain what it was that got each winner across the line, and what made them that little bit better than other funds.”
There will be 10 award categories, including Master Trust of the Year, Super and Pension Funds of the Year and Best Fund across three individual areas: Member Services, Insurance and Investments.
