F2 Wheel Classic – Day 1: Bourke to Cobar

F2F Wheel Classic – Day 1: Bourke to Cobar.

The 2010 Future2Foundation Wheel Classic kicked off this morning – if “kicked off” is the correct way to describe the start of a 1250-kilometre bike ride – with Ray Griffin and Peter Bobbin leaving Bourke en route to Cobar.

The first day is a relatively rugged 160km (on only two other days will the pair cover a greater distance). Today’s ride is more or less the entire distance covered by Peter in training for the event.

The pair are completing the ride to raise money for the foundation – of which they are both trustees – and to raise awareness of the work done by the foundation to help young Australians whose lives are disadvantaged by poverty, homelessness or drug dependence.
