Richard Holmes
Richard was appointed to the role of chief information officer (CIO), in Westpac/BT's specialist businesses division in February 2021, taking on responsibility for the portfolio of businesses under strategic review for potential divestment. In this role Richard is accountable for technology strategy, divestment activities, project execution and operational management.
Prior to this role, Richard has held many senior IT positions across the Group including CIO business division, general manager - infrastructure and operations and CIO wealth, retail and business banking.
With more than 25 years’ experience in IT, Richard has also held roles in Advance Funds Management, Digital Equipment Corporation and Bankers Trust after starting his career at William Mercer Fraser UK as an Actuarial student.
