T. Rowe Price’s Global Equity capability managed by Scott Berg is now available on Colonial First State’s FirstChoice platform.
T. Rowe Price Head of Relationship Management Australia and New Zealand Murray Brewer says the addition of the firm’s highly regarded global equity capability provides Australian investors and advisers access to an equity capability that invests across developed, emerging and frontier equity markets.
“Many investors use our global equity capability as the dedicated growth manager providing selective exposure to emerging markets, which is especially relevant where clients cannot tolerate the volatility of a dedicated exposure to emerging markets in their portfolio,” Mr Brewer said.
“We are one of few Global Equity capabilities with access to over 130 (note 1) equity research analysts located globally, which allow us to access the very best ideas and opportunities for clients.
“Many advisers view that emerging markets are no longer a homogenous asset class and as a result may prefer to use us in their portfolios as a truly global equity growth manager. Fundamental research is our lifeblood and we have been doing this for nearly 80 years,” Mr Brewer said.
T. Rowe Price has been steadily building its Australian business aligning its growth focus with the firm’s founding principle of putting clients first and constructing investment solutions that draw on the firm’s deep global capabilities enriched with local market understanding.
T. Rowe Price offers a range of equity and fixed income strategies across multiple asset classes throughout the developed, emerging and frontier markets; the Global Equity Fund (Hedged and Unhedged), Dynamic Global Bond Fund, Australian Equity Fund and the Asia ex-Japan Fund offerings are available for Financial Advisers in Australia.
The Global Equity capability managed by Scott Berg has successfully raised over A$1.6 billion (note 2) in assets under management from Australian sourced clients. The firm manages assets of over A$1.04 trillion (note 3) globally.
