AdviceIQ has announced Paul Harding-Davis will be consulting to both AdviceIQ and PortfolioIQ companies, helping the current boards lead and develop the two businesses.
As well as governance and management, Paul will be active in the market working to add appropriate practices to the boutique dealer group, AdviceIQ Partners and to the Badge Wrap adviceLink for PortfolioIQ.
“Paul’s experience and prior relationship with both entities means he has a good understanding of each and their respective opportunities” said Angus McLeod, director and head of both. “Paul has a genuine passion for advice and the difference it makes to the lives of the clients of advisers.”
“In addition, Paul’s knowledge of advisers, AFSLs and the emerging challenges and opportunities in the world of Advice will be invaluable.”
“AdviceIQ is a unique boutique AFSL, with a small and select group of exceptional practices”, Paul said “and I look forward to working with them. Whilst we do have plans for growth, they are very specific as we only want to add a few practices before closing to future growth. It is important to maintain the shared ownership and close culture that the group has developed.”
adviceLink is a badged BT wrap operated in a separate entity – PortfolioIQ – which represents a very attractive platform opportunity for other boutiques and self-licenced firms. “Angus has done a remarkable job to date growing this badge to over $1bn FUA and I am excited about working with him to continue the success”, Paul added.
“Paul’s broad governance, and business leadership will provide the boards of the two companies with strong support in taking our businesses into the future”, Angus concluded.
Amongst a number of other key roles during his extensive career, Paul has been the General Manager – Advice for Australian Unity Personal Financial Services Ltd and the CEO for Premium Wealth Management Ltd.
Paul’s qualifications include a Bachelor of Business from Monash University, an Advanced Diploma Financial Services (Financial Planning), ASFA AIF, ANZIIF (Assoc) CIP, and is a Fellow of the Australian Institute of Company Directors.
