The Association of Financial Advisers (AFA) and TAL have announced Peita Diamantidis of Caboodle Financial Services as the winner of the 2016 AFA Female Excellence in Advice Award (the Award).
AFA CEO, Brad Fox said Ms Diamantidis has demonstrated all the qualities synonymous with leadership in the advice profession. “In the way she conducts herself and her business, in the way she encourages women in the profession and in the way she is contributing towards the financial literacy of Australians and encouraging more people to seek advice, Peita personifies what it means to be an AFA Female Excellence in Advice Award winner.”
A joint initiative of the AFA and TAL, the Award recognises and showcases the talents and contributions of women in financial advice to their clients, the community and their profession. The Award criteria includes assessment of each candidate’s contributions to financial literacy in the community and/or campaigns targeted specifically at helping female clients take control of their financial lives.
Ms Peita Diamantidis is an adviser with Caboodle Financial Services in NSW. She specializes in revitalizing disengaged client bases purchased from other advisers through a combination of general and personal advice. Peita’s approach to financial literacy and client engagement is unique and effective, and her book Finance Action Hero is bringing the basics of financial understanding to thousands of Australians.
General Manager of Retail Distribution at TAL Life, Niall McConville, congratulated Peita on being the sixth winner of the Award.
“We are very proud to have supported this Award since its inception in 2011,” he said. “This year, as in previous years, we have seen outstanding female advisers who are not only providing great advice to consumers but who are also committed to improving financial literacy for women. Peita was a very impressive candidate and is a very deserving winner.”
This prize for the Award has this year increased to a $15,000 TAL education package which Ms Diamantidis can customise in line with her education interests, aspirations and requirements.
