Link Group today announced the rebrand of its leading superannuation and relevant advice provider Money Solutions to Link Advice, effective from 1 July 2016.

Link Advice, Australia’s largest financial advice and education provider, will remain part of Link Group’s Fund Administration division. The rebrand reflects the expansion of the advice offering, moving beyond a focus on intra-fund phone advice to a more holistic offering including digital solutions and increased access to face-to-face advice services.

Link Advice offers access to over 65 phone advisers. The company currently services 15 major super funds, delivering over 30,000 pieces of phone advice a year. This is expected to increase to 50,000 in the next three years with a focus on retirement advice and helping Funds retain members as they retire.

The provision of financial advice is becoming increasingly important for super funds as they compete to differentiate their offering. Advice provision is now an integral part of the member journey, and has been integrated into the different touch points of member engagement.

Commenting on the rebrand, Money Solutions CEO Ross Bowden said: “Advice comes in many different forms and each form has a place. The advice trend is on a growth trajectory – and funds should explore their advice offering now to avoid being left behind.

“Scaled financial advice is no longer just a bolt on for superannuation funds, it is an integral part of member engagement and member services. Super fund members in the future will access advice at the moment they need it, via the channel they choose and Link Advice is committed to making this happen.

“For most people superannuation is their second most valuable asset after the family home. Yet, when you consider that around 90 per cent of women will retire with inadequate savings to fund a ‘comfortable’ lifestyle in retirement, it becomes clear advice is necessary.

“By offering advice, super funds are engaging and educating members to improve their retirement outcomes. More than this, they are engendering loyalty, and improving member retention.”
