IOOF Investments has been awarded an overall 5 Apples Multi-Manager Rating from Chant West, an independent superannuation research and consultancy firm, which is the highest quality overall rating.
The top ranking was given to IOOF for its overall ability to construct quality multi-manager investment products that represent industry best practice and have achieved their stated risk/return objectives over both the short and long term.
The IOOF MultiMix multi-manager range is available as either standalone products and through IOOF Employer Super, IOOF WealthBuilder and IOOF Pursuit.
“There were many strengths highlighted in the report including the fact that we have a well-established multi-manager capability, an experienced investment team and a sound investment governance framework” said Danny Dalton, IOOF National Sales Manager – Investments.
“This is an impressive result and testament to the ongoing commitment and hard work of the whole Investments team.”
The IOOF Investments team headed by Stephen Merlicek has a culture committed to rigorous strategy review and development in order to achieve outperformance.
IOOF Chief Investment Officer, Stephen Merlicek said his team was delighted at receiving such a high level of endorsement for its products and its culture of continual improvement.
“We are constantly looking for ways to add more alpha and as a team we are committed to equipping advisers with a strong suite of investment solutions so they can provide consistently superior outcomes for their clients.
“The creation of differentiated portfolios, such as the defensive portfolio we introduced in 2014, the Australian equities boutique portfolio introduced in 2013, and our approach to direct property are all examples of recent innovations that have delivered value and enabled advisers to invest with confidence and move forward in their businesses,” Mr Merlicek added.
Chant West currently rates 14 product issuers – ten commercial organisations and four not-for-profit funds. Its Multi-Manager Ratings include an overall rating for the product issuer and separate ratings for each of its products, which may differ to the overall Multi-Manager Rating.
