Melbourne based practice Axios Financial Solutions has solidified its position as an industry best performer with its acquisition of LG Financial Strategies.
In a time when the greater financial planning industry faces government reform, Axios Principal Bentley Klein said his firm continues to earn client confidence because it has built a loyal client base on the back of an almost 30-year track record of integrity.
“We’ve been delivering quality, trusted advice backed up by exceptional service for 28 years and we intend to maintain that,” he said. “We enjoy a loyal client base because we are about people first.”
Mr Klein said Axios’ strategic partnership with LG Financial Strategies was years in the planning, with the two respected principals knowing each other for over 20 years and the successful firms working together for two years before merging in July this year.
The new larger scale business enables Axios to provide additional client centric, tailored services at the same high level of professionalism both practices are already known for. Axios has retained all LG employees, including their highly regarded Principal Rohan Gulasekharam, who will continue to be part of the new business for many years.
“Our governance structure and offerings were quite similar, both having been Charter licenced, fee-for-service firms for decades, and recognised as Certified Quality Advice Practices annually since 2005,” Mr Klein said.
“We’ve both maintained the highest compliance rating every year since the auditing process began and both practices and Principles have been recognised in similar ways and have won similar awards.
“In terms of the proposed industry move towards greater transparency and a fee-for-service model, both Axios and LG Financial Strategies independently started down that path many years ago, and did so with significant support from Charter.
“With this merge we’re in a better position to deal with the challenges the future will present to financial planning firms, and we’re able to offer clients a greater depth of expertise and quality advice.”
Mr Klein said securing Australians’ financial futures was essential in an uncertain economic market characterised by sluggish growth.
“Clients have been experiencing volatile markets for a long time and this trend will continue on into the future, its therefore critical that clients have a clear understanding of what’s required to achieve a certain future.
“While the focus on legislation can be challenging, we agree that any focus on change that’s in the consumer’s best interest is a positive move. The future of Australians is so important and in this economic environment more people should be seeking expert advice to achieve the best outcome that their money can buy,” he said.
